The outside of these gaiters is made of limestone-based neoprene. This material, in combination with the "Ultra-Shock" lining, protects the splint bone, tendons and tissue, and also absorbs some of the shock of landing. The slightly longer underlay encloses the fetlock joint and still ensures complete freedom of movement of the fetlock joint and offers a certain protection against overstretching
